You will need the 12-word recovery phrase you secured when you set up your wallet.
If MetaMask requires the private key over the 12-words, follow this link, and you will be prompted to enter your 12-word recovery phrase. Once complete, your wallet address and private key will be displayed.
You can use that information to import your wallet through a 3rd party wallet such as MetaMask.
- Install the MetaMask browser extension on your computer. You can find the link to do so here.
- In MetaMask, click the very top drop-down menu to select your account.
- Click "Add Wallet" at the bottom.
- Click "Import a Wallet"
- Enter your Secret Recovery Phrase, or 12-word seed phrase. They should be typed in lowercase letters with one space between each word.
- Click "Continue"
We recommend adding a label to that wallet, such as Switch Wallet, to keep things organized.
