Switch Reward Card offers a few different options for getting crypto. Purchasing cryptocurrency with Fiat is called an On-Ramp.
- Use the Switch Pay website-https://switch-pay.com/buy-crypto/ to purchase cryptocurrencies using a debit or credit card. Initially, you will provide some personal information to complete the Identity Verification. This video shows the steps for going through Switch Pay for the first time. Card transactions can be classed as a cash advance, so there may be additional fees from your bank.
- If you plan to purchase crypto more than once, the Switch Trade Wallet is a great option! Once logged in to your Switch account, you will need to complete the "Identity Verification" step on your Setup tab. Then, follow the steps in this article to create an account. After Trade Wallet account approval, you can deposit USD to be able to purchase cryptocurrencies.
To buy digital assets in your Trade Wallet, you will need to add USD. Here are some directions on how to complete this. There are a few steps required, and you do need to complete a transfer from your external bank account's website to send funds to your Switch Trade Wallet.
For Deposits coming from outside the US:
Any payment sent from outside the US must include the USD account number in the payment reference field. This is also referred to as field 70. We recommend that you include the full reference code (e.g., REF12345), including the letters.
*Other forms of fiat will be converted to dUSD when funds are pushed to the Switch Trade Wallet.

- Log in to your account at Switch Reward Card
- Navigate to the "Trade Wallet" tab
- Next, to get the information needed to give your external bank account, click the dropdown next to the Digital US Dollar or USD.
- Click "Deposit".
- This is a new Trade Wallet account with unique account and routing numbers. This is not account information for any of your external banks.
- You can either select Wire Transfer or complete an ACH transfer from your bank; the fastest way to deposit funds is using a wire transfer.
- When you click "Wire," it will display the information you need to give your bank to complete the wire. Click the eye icon to show your account and routing numbers. The account holder details can be yours as long as you are located in the US. The full bank details are listed below.
- When you select "ACH Transfer," you will see the account and routing numbers your bank needs to send the transfer to your Trade Wallet. ACH transfers are subject to bank transaction fees and may take 3-5 business days to complete. Please use the external transfer feature on your bank's website to complete the transfer.
- Deposits will show in "Pending" until the funds clear into your Trade Wallet.
You may be required to verify some microdeposits in your account before you can complete a transfer from your bank. At this time, it does not appear in the transaction history. Please reach out to support, and we can help you get that information.

To Buy:
- Log in to your Switch Account and click the "Trade Wallet" tab along the left side menu.
- Click the dropdown menu next to the cryptocurrency you would like to purchase and select "Buy"
- Enter the amount you would like to buy; you must ensure you have enough USD or dUSD to purchase.
- Once you click "Preview Trade" you will verify the purchase, check the acknowledgments, and then "Confirm Transaction"
- You are all set! The funds will show in "pending" until the transaction is complete
